Our Story and Tennis Philosophy

Witikia Witu Story
01

Witikia Witu was born from one simple idea: tennis should feel open, relaxed, and easy to approach. When our founder arrived in Abu Dhabi, they often saw people standing outside the courts saying, "I'm not sporty enough" or "I'm afraid the coach will be too tough." After a fun, casual match with friends and a playful comment about having a "top court" kind of day, that small moment turned into a bigger vision — a tennis school where people could come exactly as they are and not feel judged or out of place.

The project started very modestly, with just one court and a few curious students. The first group did not look like a typical academy at all: one person had never touched a racket, another parent simply wanted to move more and clear their mind after work, and a shy teenager was trying to fall in love with tennis again. Instead of strict instructions and heavy drills, our founder slowed everything down, used everyday language, and treated every mistake as a chance to learn. There was laughter, many missed shots, and countless moments of "let's try again" — and that is how the true spirit of Witikia Witu took shape.

Witikia Witu Community
02

From that point, our community began to grow naturally. More players joined, and we welcomed coaches who share the same core values: stay patient, stay kind, and support people honestly. Our coaches are not here to shout from far across the net. They stand beside you, demonstrate each movement step by step, and repeat it until it feels comfortable in your own body. Whether you want a stronger serve, a smoother backhand, quicker footwork, or simply a more active week in Abu Dhabi, we design the training around your life, not the other way around.

Today, Witikia Witu feels less like a big academy and more like a friendly tennis circle. Children learn that it is normal to miss the ball and try again. Adults finally begin the tennis journey they have postponed for years. Friends and families meet on our courts and turn their lessons into a weekly ritual they genuinely look forward to. For us, success is not only a powerful forehand or a perfect result on the scoreboard. The real win is that quiet moment when someone leaves the court and says, "I never thought tennis could be for me, but now it feels possible." That feeling is the reason we teach — and we would be happy to help you start your own tennis chapter here in Abu Dhabi.
